- Day 1
Ningbo
You'll arrive in Ningbo this morning and get settled before diving into the city's cultural side. Start at Tianyi Pavilion, which holds the distinction of being China's oldest private library and gives real insight into how scholars preserved knowledge centuries ago. From there, head to the Ningbo Museum to get context on the region's history and development. Later in the afternoon, make your way to Baoguo Temple, a historic site with some beautiful architectural details. By evening, catch traditional local performances happening at Tianyihui, which rounds out your first day nicely with live entertainment that reflects local culture.

Ningbo to Mount Yandang
After breakfast, you'll drive about 2.5 hours to reach Mount Yandang near Wenzhou. This mountain is well-known in China, and once there, you can explore the Lingyan Scenic Area which includes the Dalongyu section and Lingfeng Night Scenery. There's a notable waterfall in this area that's worth seeing. You'll have time to walk around and take in the landscape before heading back to Ningbo for the night, so plan on a fairly full day of travel and sightseeing.

Mount Yandang to Hengdian
Start early to catch the morning views at Lingfeng Day View, then drive approximately 2.5 hours to Hengdian. Once there, you'll spend your time at Hengdian World Studios, which functions as a major film and television production center where many Chinese productions get filmed. The Palace of Ming and Qing Dynasty recreations are impressive structures to walk through and photograph. You'll stay overnight in Hengdian, so there's no rush to leave and you can take your time exploring the studios and grounds.

Then you'll drive about 2 hours to Xikou and settle in for the night, so it's a day with a mix of performances, sightseeing, and travel time.
