Arrival
You'll arrive at your hotel and get settled in for the week. There's a welcome briefing scheduled to help orient you and go over what's coming up during your stay.

Schattberg - Schmittenhöhe - Zell am See
Start the morning with a scenic cable car ride up to Schattberg. From there you'll hike the Pinzgauer Spaziergang trail at around 2000m/6560 feet, with mountain views throughout. The route continues toward Schmittenhöhe where you get 360-degree views of more than 30 peaks over 3000m/9840 feet. After that, take the cable car back down to Zell am See and catch a bus back to Maishofen.

Schwalbenwand - Maria Alm
Today you'll hike over Kammereggalm and head toward Schwalbenwand, the distinctive double peak that defines the Pinzgau meadow mountains. Along the way there are great views of the varied peaks around you. After that, descend through the forest path called Hofer Plattl. You'll stop at Hinterreit for a break, then continue past the Chapel of Peace before reaching Maria Alm, a quiet pilgrimage village.

Steinerne Meer - Lichtenberg - Saalfelden
You'll follow pilgrim trails through meadows and moorland heading toward the Steinerne Meer's rugged peaks. The high altitude routes offer good views as you make your way to Steinalm, a sunny upland pasture where there's a cabin for stopping and resting. After that comes a steep descent to a striking hermitage. You'll pass Knight's Castle Lichtenberg before arriving in Saalfelden, a historic town.
