We completed the 14 day EBC tour in April/May 2018. There were four of us (4 Australian men, all around 50 years old) in the experience is one that we will cheish. We are all reasonably fit, and prepared well for the trek. The trek met our expectations in terms of the level of challenge and we all reached both EBC and Kala Patter. We all had some altitude sickness (headache, loss of appetite etc), however not enough to stop us walking any of the days. My biggest concern before we left was the guides English skills as we have had issues with previous travels where “speaking English” can mean many different things. I must say that within 30 seconds of speaking to our guide, I realized that this was not going to be a problem for our trek. His English skills were first class and he had a degree (History I think) from an English speaking university. Most of the guides that we met with also had good English skills. I can’t add any more in relation to the fantastic scenery and the pleasantness of the local Nepalese to what others have already said. My advice to others is that you need to do your research for these trips and to make sure that you are physically (and more importantly mentally) prepared for the trek. Most parts of the trip were as expected for us, although I must comment that the Tea-house bedrooms were colder that I had expected once you get up to the higher altitudes. Our Guide’s name for the tour was Nemish from Ace the Himalaya. Nemish made the trip something special for us and made it much more that a trek, but a cultural, historical and geographical educational experience. Ace, please thank Nemihs for us – you have a fantastic employee there given his patience, demeanor, and knowledge of the region, and one that will hold a special place in our hearts.

The people were great and the trek an adventure. My only suggestion would be to focus more of a overview on local history and culture.

Dhanyabad!!!! That is thank you in Nepalese for all out there. Recently did the EBC trip with Ram, Rabi and Damar leading our 16 pax group. Thank you to Ram and the driver picking us up from Kathmandu airport at 23h50 at night and taking us to our hotel. Thanky you to Sayija for making all our organisation a breeze with prompt responses and great organsational skills before the trip and also with the pre trip briefing. Thank you to our guide Ram!!! You are a legend. Apart from being the most patient, friendly, energetic, knowledgable................................. he is also the best Mountain weather forecaster, accountant to sort out all payments at teahouses, and a crackerjack dancer to boot!!! Thank you to our assistant guide, Rabi, our uncle in the group, always keeping the front runners under his watchful eye, always patient, always friendly, always helpful. Than there was Damar, our head porter. We called him Smiley as he was always popping out from nowhere, carrying our duffel bags, with an encouraging smile and the never to be forgotten Bistarai Bistarai!!! (Slowly, slowly.) Our group all voted for Damar to be promoted to assistant guide as he helped out all the time, especially because we were such a big group. The trip, what can I say? Breathtaking scenery from day 1 till the end. You feel like a spec in the universe surrounded by majestic mountains that dwarf everything. Truly humbling experience living with Nepalese locals seeing how positive they are after all the hardship of recent earthquakes and just life. We all have so much to be grateful for and this trip just emphasize that!!! If you want to go to Nepal, go with Ace The Himalaya!!! Dont bother looking at other operators. These guys are the greatest!!!!!!

The EBC trip was amazing. I went 2 years ago in April and ACE did an amazing job of planning it for me. Rajkumar was the kindest guide and I would love to do another tour with him. The people that live in the region are the kindest and most hard working - needless to say, I fell in love with Nepal.

Isabelle and I were triumphant in making it to Everest Base Camp. It was a challenging trek for both of us, but thanks to our excellent guide, Dipak, we were successful in completing our goal. Along the way, we marveled at the beauty of the Himalayas and were refreshed and encouraged by the hospitality of the Nepalese people. We enjoyed the rustic accommodations of the tea houses. Though modest by our standards, they were sufficient in meeting a trekker's needs. The hot showers and and substantial meals kept us going! Thank you, Ace the Himalaya, for helping us realize the dream of seeing Mt. Everest and making it to Base Camp!

Ace the Himalaya is an excellent travel company! Our Guide, Sunil, was honestly the best guide I have ever had on any expedition. He was attentive to our needs as foreigners and guests. He exercised the perfect balance between safety and achieving our goal of reaching E.B.C. Our porters were also excellent, attentive and performed as assistant guides during our trek up and down the trail.

Your website was very simple to use. I was able to find exactly what I wanted and when I wanted my tour. The price was also a big factor in choosing your company. As I have done a Cosmos tour before, I knew it would be good value for the price.
