    4.5 - Excellent

I did this trip in early June 2016 and it was fantastic. It was the second Peregrine Tour I've done which thrilled me and I have just booked "Treasures of Turkey" for 2018. We had a very small group and a well informed and genial local, guide Angelo Distefano. We did a mixture of cities and getting off the track to amazing national parks. I like the philosophy of Peregrine, (supporting local). I like the fact these are active holidays, you're not waddling off a big coach to the nearest buffet! It seemed that the others in our group were like minded. The Hotel Allagiudecca in Syracuse had the yummiest cannoli and my big regret was I didn't go and see the ritual Jewish Baths underneath this character-filled hotel. Highly reccommended.

Questions & Answers

Here we have collected and answered the most frequently asked questions about this tour.

  • What's the accommodation like on this tour?

We choose our accommodation based on its character, convenience and comfort. Where we can, we prefer to use smaller hotels that reflect a region’s style rather than larger global chains. A central location, private bathroom facilities and air-conditioning are all part of our selection criteria.
Where we can, we stay in locally-owned businesses. This not only helps to strengthen the community but gives you a more authentic travel experience and insight into local life.

Booking was really easy! The options were displayed clearly and I was able to filter. I especially liked that they recommended a travel insurer because I've never had to get travel insurance. No hassle experience and now I'm ready for my tour!
