Myself and my wife are seniors can we join this trip

The majority of our group members are in their 20s and 30s, so unfortunately our tours may not be the best fit for you. We do hope you find a trip that suits you perfectly and that you have an amazing time in Japan. It's such an incredible country!

We are a couple in our 60s and we can not share room with other people. We would like to have private room please.

The majority of our group members are in their 20s and 30s, and we have an upper age limit of 49 so unfortunately our tours will not be the best fit.

Just checking if age groups are flexible? I'm a young 58 year old, so looking at the 18-49 age group. Would this be a problem, and is the accommodation twin share (I am a solo traveller).

Can I share a room with another solo traveller?

I am arriving 2 days earlier before the tour starts. I'm wondering if I can get information on where we are staying so I am close by.

On the Japan 13 day tour do the buses have toilets on them and are the hostels private rooms and bathrooms or do you share rooms and bathrooms.

We mainly travel by train throughout Japan. The longest journey without toilet access would usually be around 1.5 to 2 hours. On the larger trains there are toilets available on board. Accommodation is in shared hostel style rooms with shared bathroom facilities. If you would prefer your own private room, that can sometimes be arranged. We would just need to check availability for your dates.

We love the itinerary and it looks fantastic overall. We were wondering if it would be possible to stay in hotels instead of hostels, with each couple having their own private room. Additionally, do you offer this itinerary as a private tour for a group of six people?

Our Japan Adventure 13 day includes the absolute best of Japan, plus some off the beaten path experiences, amazing accommodation, an instant group of friends and an awesome group leader to take care of everything. Hang out with red faced snow monkeys, wield a samurai sword, stay overnight in a 1000 year old buddhist temple with local monks are just some of the many highlights! It wouldn't be possible to run a private group for 6 people, but we certainly look into the possibility of 3 private rooms for you on one of our Group departures. The only time of year where private rooms can never be organised is during Cherry Blossom season (March/April) due to availability during peak season. The private rooms would be booked at the same accommodation as the rest of the group are staying. It wouldn't be possible to have you staying at different hotels due to the effect that would have on logistics and the group dynamic, sorry about that! There is one location where it isn't possible to have a private room, Hakone, but we can book you into private rooms at all other accommodations (subject to availability). That said, we strongly recommend not having a private room for the 2 nights in Nagano and the 1 night in Koyasan as the traditional Ryokan and Buddhist temple shared is very much part of the experience!

Can this be guided in Spanish?

All of our tours are led in English by English speaking guides. Would you be comfortable with this?

What would happen if I can't get my visa?

You will need to organise your visa yourself and in advance. Depending on your nationality you may have different requirements for the application. We aren't experts in visa, so if you have any concerns about your eligibility for a visa, we'd recommend you organise this and then you can book onto our tour with confidence.

Can an age range exception be made? I am in my 70s and physically fit for the tour.

We set an age range to make sure the style, pace, and overall vibe of our group tours stays consistent for everyone. Our trips are designed specifically for travellers aged 18–40s, which is why we have a maximum age limit of 49. This isn't based on attitude, fitness or ability. It's simply about maintaining the trip style and group dynamic that our travellers come expecting.

Would like a pre authorization to aid with VISA application. Is this possible? Looking to book the Japan trip for February the 3rd

With regards to your visa, you will need to organise this yourself and in advance, it's pretty easy to do. Depending on your nationality you may have different requirements for the application. I had an amazing time on this trip! It was everything I wanted from a trip to Japan and more. Our tour group leader Becca was brilliant, she was organised and on time but also great fun to be around. She brought us from place to place with ease but also brought an extra element of fun to every activity we did. Highlights of the trip for me were Nagano and the fire ceremony in the Buddhist temple. I’ve just finished the 13-day Japan tour and I honestly couldn’t be happier. From start to finish, it was an incredible experience and I enjoyed every single day. The itinerary is packed with amazing experiences, giving you the opportunity to see so many different sides of Japan. From the bright lights of Tokyo and the food scene in Osaka to the peaceful temples of Kyoto, the snow monkeys in Nagano, the bamboo forest, Mount Fuji views, and even staying overnight in a Buddhist temple, every day felt unique and memorable. Some of my favourite experiences were making our own sushi, learning origami, riding the cable car in Hakone, and taking part in the Samurai experience. The balance between organised activities and free time was perfect, and whenever we had free time our tour leader gave us fantastic recommendations so we never felt stuck for things to do. The whole tour was extremely well organised. All transport, accommodation, and logistics were taken care of, which meant we could simply enjoy the experience without worrying about anything. There were also so many fun moments along the way, including an unforgettable night out in Osaka with the BBQ dinner (BBC... those on the tour will understand the joke! 😉) and plenty of laughs throughout the trip. What really made this tour special, however, was our tour leader, Charlie. He was enthusiastic, knowledgeable, approachable, and genuinely cared about everyone in the group. He guided us through every step of the journey, always making sure everyone was comfortable and included. He struck the perfect balance between being professional and being someone you could relax and have fun with. He brought a group of complete strangers together, and by the end of the tour it genuinely felt like we were leaving friends behind. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone wanting to experience the best of Japan without the stress of planning everything themselves. It exceeded my expectations and created memories that I’ll never forget.Show more

Would like a pre authorization to aid with VISA application. Is this possible? Looking to book the Japan trip for February the 3rd

  With regards to your visa, you will need to organise this yourself and in advance, it's pretty easy to do. Depending on your nationality you may have different requirements for the application. You can find information from the official government website. Unfortunately we aren't experts in visa, so it's always best to check with your local embassy or consulate before travelling

- Unfortunately we cannot offer you a visa application service. Whether you need a visa or not depends on your nationality and where you wish to travel. Assuming your home country does not have a visa agreement with the country you're planning to visit, you will need to apply for a visa in advance of your scheduled departure.
- Here is an indication for which countries you might need a visa. Please contact the local embassy for help applying for visas to these places.
Payment information
- For any tour departing before August 25th, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after August 25th, 2026, a minimum payment of 25% is required to confirm your booking with INTRO Travel. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 35 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
- Some departure dates and prices may vary and INTRO Travel will contact you with any discrepancies before your booking is confirmed.
- The following cards are accepted for "INTRO Travel" tours: Visa, Maestro, Mastercard, American Express or PayPal. TourRadar does NOT charge you an extra fee for using any of these payment methods.
Cancellation Policy
- Your money is safe with TourRadar, as we only pay the tour operator after your tour has departed.
- TourRadar is an authorized Agent of INTRO Travel. Please familiarize yourself with the INTRO Travel payment, cancellation and refund conditions.
