This tour is an excellent way to experience these uncommon destinations on a budget. And they are all well worth seeing. The guides are all local and generally want to show you whatever it is you want to see. And it is nice to have a guide because much of the time you will be the only (western) tourists in sight and they have really useful local knowledge. The schedule is a little aggressive at times, so you will be tired at points, but they are good about giving you nice places to rest when the going gets tougher. All around a great ride and a wonderful introduction to an often overlooked part of the world.

This was my second VodkaTrain trip (first being on the Trans-Mongolian). As with the first, it was a truly amazing experience and some of the most unique countries I have ever travelled through. Whilst I appreciated the level of independence on this trip, I felt that some of the guides were often providing the bare minimum level of service and were ill-informed about our itinerary (as I understand they were contracted in by VodkaTrain). The stand-out cities were definitely those where our guide engaged with us socially, took us to local restaurants and hang-outs and we got a more authentic experience. In saying that, I would highly recommend this trip and really love the concept VodkaTrain offers.

I loved, loved, loved this tour! I was nervous about travelling through these countries as a solo female traveller so decided to travel with Vodkatrain to experience these amazing cultures. The tour exceeded my expectation and each honcho took great care of us. I don't generally like guided tours but there was plenty 'time off' for you to do your own thing, you didn't have to join the group for the day if you didn't want to and where we ate our meals was always up for discussion, we weren't herded to the nearest tourist trap. I highly recommend travelling with vodkatrain.

The honchos are young and full of energy to show you all the non tourist places to eat and visit. They are flexible to take you where you want that also meets your budget. Highly recommended trip to a fantastic part of the world.

Was very pleased with the ease that I was able to understand, and navigate your website. Have actually been looking at several other tour companies, some have played phone tag with me. Others have not bothered to return calls. Their websites have been difficult, to work and understand. Am super excited to be working with you. Am now working on finding affordable airfare. Thanks again. Looking forward to a wonderful adventure. Have already been giving several friends your info.
