    Your advice to take US dollars is a bit misleading; they are useful in Guatemala and Belize, but it is possible to get Mexican pesos readily in the UK now, so you might was well take those for the Mexican parts of the trip and save changing currency twice.

    It would be useful to include breakfasts in the overall cost. This would save time at hotels as we had mainly early starts and having to wait for bills then paying for breakfast with busy waiters was an additional hassle/rush.
