Do you help with VISA arrangements at all?
Unfortunately we are unable to give visa advice due to the vast number of nationalities which our customers represent. Some nationalities can travel freely over borders, where others require advance permission to enter. There are also changes in requirements from time to time. We recommend checking your local embassy or consulate's website for the latest up to date information.

I understand the tour says the Amazon Jungle trek and Inca Trail trek are optional. Do these treks cost an additional or included in the price already? If the treks are additional costs, how much is each trek?
The Inca Trail is always optional, and this is twofold: firstly, some folks aren't up for a strenuous hike and opt for the train/bus option to Machu Picchu. Further to this, permits are required to access the trail and these sell out months in advance, so the Inca Trail isn't always an option. The Inca Trail trek or Lares Valley trek (an alternate route you can take if permits for the Inca Trail are not available) costs US$889. Alternately, the train to Machu Picchu overnight excursion is US$429 (these activities must be booked in advance).
I don't believe permits are needed for the Amazon Jungle Trek. The excursion is US$699 or equivalent in your currency (must be booked in advance). We can absolutely request this and/or the Inca Trail/Lares Trek in conjunction with your tour booking. - April 23, 2015
What is the local payment?
The price for Southern Cross (from Rio de Janeiro to Lima) consists of two parts, the tour price; which you pay before you depart and the local payment; which is paid upon arrival at the tour.
The local payment goes towards group meals, some accomodations, local transport and other services and activities which are mentioned in the itinerary where only cash payment is possible.
