Looking at the German Christmas market tour for this year. Where do we fly in/out of and how do we connect with tour upon arrival?

For this 8-day itinerary, the tour starts in Frankfurt and ends in Berlin2. That means: Fly into: Frankfurt Airport (FRA) Fly out of: Berlin Brandenburg Airport (BER). We typically provide detailed arrival instructions in your travel documents, including hotel address and where to meet the Travel Director. Complimentary airport transfers are available on the first day if your arrival falls within our designated transfer window.

Do you run your German Christmas markets trip in reverse from Berlin to Frankfurt?

What time does this tour return?

For the time the trip ends on the Dec 19th, it would be anytime really. Our transfers drop off at the Berlin airport at 6am, 8am or 11am and we would recommend that your flights not departure for a minimum of 3 hours after your drop off.

Are they still able to book this tour?

On all guided holidays young travellers under 5 years of age are not eligible to travel. Young travellers under 18 years of age must be accompanied by an adult, who will be responsible for their welfare and supervision.

With the covid policies changing, is there anyway we can do the tour in dec 2022 without being vaccinated? We can take a test to show proof of no covid.

All guests traveling with Trafalgar through December 31, 2022 are required to be fully vaccinated against Covid-19, which may include a booster shot. Children not eligible for vaccination must provide a verifiable and negative Covid-19 test result, taken within 72 hours prior to the start of the tour.

Is there an advantage to leaving on a Friday rather than Sunday? (Dec 9? or Dec 11?) I see the Wartburg Castle in Eisenach (Sat/Sun only) is only available certain times that may be missed by leaving on a different day. Are there any other advantages/disadvantages to leaving before or after a weekend?

To answer your questions, it honestly just depends on your preference on leaving on a Friday vs and Sunday. The Wartburg Castle in Eisenach visit also states for me throughout my research that the Eisenach Christmas market would only take place on Saturday or Sunday. If you didn't want to miss the Eisenach Christmas market then I would recommend the Dec 9th date because the group would be visiting on Sunday the 11th.
