- JJane· December 3rd, 2024I joined the 10 day tour across Japan with One Life Adventures. From start to finish the trip exceeded my expectations. Our guide Daan, was really knowledgeable, got us to where we needed to be on time and really made the trip run smoothly. It's really hard to choose a favourite part of the trip as the tour really packed in a variety of experiences and activities, from sushi making, kimono wearing, visiting many of the beautiful temples and shrines, to taking a kendo class, riding the shinkansen and visiting Mount Fuji. We got to sing karaoke with the locals in Kyoto which was really fun and we were able to visit and Onsen in Takyama to truly relax (and it snowed). It included many once in a lifetime experiences like kendo at Japan's oldest dojo and watching the sun set over Mount Fuji. Add in Monkey Mountain, boat ride, Tokyo arcades, Shibuya crossing, sushi making, tea ceremony and much, much more. - EMEunice· November 30th, 2024This was my first holiday since pre covid do I was very much looking forward to it and it exceeded my expectations. Out travel guide Dale made it an a star plus experience. He was so helpful, kind and caring, very knowlagable (took us to some great spots)and great fun. To add cherry on the cake he got me a little birthday gift, very very sweet. It was quite a fast paced trip and even with recommended 15kg luggage it was a bit tough on the old back but an excellent trip all the same and we had free time to rest or do our own thing.I love how we all connected as a group and I loved moments like playing board games and singing karaoke. I miss that in my life, I miss fun and connection with my friends. There were quieter reflective periods like the stay in the monastery which has taught me practices I hope to bring in my life to reduce stress and has inspired postive change in other relationships in my life. The Onsen was soo good. I wish we had that in the UK. I was so sad to say goodbye to everyone including Dale.
