  In Stockholm, you can visit the grand City Hall where they host the Nobel Prize banquets - it's pretty special to walk through those halls together. Copenhagen has this beautiful 18th-century cathedral where Danish royals have gotten married for generations. Up in Karasjok, you can learn about Sami culture at the National Museum, which gives you a really different perspective on Nordic life. Helsinki's Design District is great for wandering hand in hand through boutiques filled with Finnish design. Our travelers particularly loved the ABBA Museum in Stockholm - you can actually get up and sing together, which is a lot of fun. Oslo's Viking museums are also fantastic for getting lost in Nordic history together.

• When is the best time for couples to visit Scandinavia?

  Summer is really lovely here, from June through August. You'll get temperatures around 68-77°F (20-25°C) and these amazing long evenings where the sun barely sets - perfect for late-night walks together. Stockholm and Helsinki come alive with outdoor cafes and boat trips around the harbors. If you're after a winter romance, try December through March when it's about 23-32°F (-5-0°C). You might catch the northern lights, which is pretty magical. One of our travelers told us: "Visiting the Northern Capitals during August was quite pleasant with moderate temperatures perfect for exploring together." May and September are nice too - the weather's mild and you won't bump into as many other tourists.

  The old town of Stockholm, Gamla Stan, has these lovely intimate restaurants tucked away in medieval buildings. In Oslo, head to Aker Brygge where you can eat right by the water - the views are beautiful. Helsinki's Savoy Restaurant sits up high with windows looking out over the city. One of our travelers mentioned that "The meals that were included were very good, especially at the Haven Hotel in Finland." Don't miss Stockholm's Gondolen - it's a restaurant that actually rotates, giving you different views while you eat. In Oslo, the Tjuvholmen area has some really nice waterfront spots for dinner.

  Take the ferry from Stockholm to Helsinki - you'll cruise through beautiful islands, and you can get a cozy cabin for the night. The train ride from Oslo to Bergen is incredible - you'll see fjords and mountains the whole way. One of our travelers said: "The journey through Norway's fjords was breathtaking, especially from the Scandic Geiranger hotel." If you're up for an Arctic adventure together, the coastal drive from Tromsø to the Lofoten Islands shows you some of Norway's most dramatic scenery.

  Couples really love taking a cruise through Geirangerfjord in Norway - the scenery is incredible. Copenhagen's Tivoli Gardens feels like something out of a fairy tale, especially in the evening when all the lights are on. Watching the midnight sun at North Cape is pretty special too - it's one of those once-in-a-lifetime experiences. Stockholm's Golden Hall and Helsinki's Market Square are great spots to explore together. Our travelers especially recommend evening walks through Stockholm's old town, Gamla Stan, and driving along Norway's Atlantic Road - it's like something out of a movie.
