  • What is the local cuisine like?

    There are variety of foods to choose from stews to Kebabs. It is recommended to sample some of the famous Persian meals such as Dizi, Qorme Sabzi, Fesenjan and a lot more. While Persian food is not as spicy as Indian food, Iranians use a fair amount of spices just to make different tastes. The meat served in restaurants is usually veal, chicken, fish and lamb. Pork is prohibited in Iran. There are fast foods and vegetarian restaurants, too.

  • What kinds of drinks can I buy in Iran?

    Any kind of soft non-alcoholic drinks are available as well as bottled water.

  • What to wear in Iran?

    Women should wear a long sleeved loose blouse and a scarf over their heads. Men should avoid wearing tank tops or shorts.

  • When is the high season of tourism in Iran?

    The high season is from the end of September to the beginning of November and from the Persian New Year to the end of May. However, it may not be necessarily the best time to visit Iran as it is very crowded.
