Our Japan tour was an amazing experience from start to finish! We saw so many beautiful places, experienced Japanese culture, enjoyed amazing food and had so much fun along the way. An amazing tour to see the highlights of Tokyo, Hakone, Takayama, Kyoto and Osaka. Charlie was a fantastic guide and always brought the positive vibes. Plenty of free time to explore and great activities to join with your group. This was my first group tour and I will definitely be booking one again!

My 10-day Japan trip with Charlie was absolutely amazing! She was so much fun and was always happy to answer questions or provide additional recommendations for our free time. She was also knowledgeable about the sites we visited and very accommodating throughout the trip. The group I travelled with was lovely as well, and we all had such a great time together! Some of my highlights included seeing Mount Fuji, visiting the monkey park in Kyoto, spending a night in a beautiful temple, and so much more. It was such an unforgettable experience, and I would highly recommend a trip with Charlie as your guide!

10/10 would recommend. A great way for a solo traveller to experience the country and make new friends. Charlie was a star. Without her this trip wouldn’t be as memorable as it was. Would definitely book again!

Fun tour! Really enjoyed spending time with my fellow travelers and the guides! It was well paced with a solid amount of things scheduled but also enough free time to do the other things I wanted (and the few times I chose to do other things from the group they were super chill about it). Was really surprised how much I enjoyed the mountain days! Super fun having someone else plan my trip for me so that I could be surprised by things! My only complaint is I wish I would have not gone in the summer. It’s super hot in Japan (which was brutal on its own) but it also made the group size quite small (there were only four of us on tour)… definitely better than those huge tours, but I wish we could have had a few more people.

The tour was great with a variety of places! There is a good balance of free time and scheduled activities, and great recommendations if you are ever looking for things to fill your time. It does hit most major points of southern Japan, but if you have the time to take the 14 day instead, I would recommend doing that as 10 days doesn't feel long enough!

This tour was very well organized and offered a great mix of activities. I really appreciated the balance between the planned group experiences and the free time, which gave us the opportunity to explore on our own. What truly made this tour exceptional, however, was our guide, Sangwoo. He was always positive, approachable, and genuinely cared about making sure everyone had the best possible experience. He was incredibly patient, helpful, and always willing to go the extra mile. He even helped me look for specific souvenirs at local markets, which I really appreciated. His enthusiasm, kindness, and dedication made a huge difference and turned a great tour into an unforgettable one. The only downside for me was the hostel room in Seoul. I shared a room that had no windows and was extremely small for two people. The humidity was so high that during the four days we stayed there, the clothes I washed on the first day never dried, and even the towels remained wet the entire time. Improving the accommodation in Seoul would make the overall experience even better. Overall, this was an amazing tour, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to have fun while experiencing Korean culture and visiting a variety of interesting places. Thanks to Sangwoo, this trip became a truly memorable experience.

Our 10-day Japan trip with our tour guide Beth was wonderful. We had a brilliant balance of guided activities and free time. Be prepared for a considerable amount of walking, and don’t forget to bring a portable charger! If you’re looking for a trip that combines Japan’s rich history with plenty of fun, this tour is definitely worth it. Beth was fantastic throughout and consistently went above and beyond, even joining the group for activities outside of the planned itinerary. If she were leading any other One Life Adventures tours in different countries, I’d happily book again. Our tour guide always made the trip to have a really relaxed feel to it, with all activities being optional and clear daily briefings that made planning our free time straightforward. You can either come onto this trip with tons of knowledge of Japan or none at all and still feel like it’s accommodating! Highlights included the cable car ride up to Owakudani (The Great Boiling Valley), visiting Fushimi Inari in Kyoto early in the morning before the crowds arrived, and exploring the amazing streets of Takayama.
