We totally enjoyed our late October cruise even though groups from Spain and Germany were in the majority. City visits were brief and our boat seemed often to be moored in the furthest port from the sights. By engaging local guides through Viator we saw and learned a lot. Bring your walking shoes and use the excellent inexpensive public transportation. Food was excellent, each meal had several courses and there were choices. Staff was helpful, unobtrusive and friendly. Entertainment was one DJ and the music was not what we are used to hearing. Lounges were spacious and had comfy furniture along with lots of windows. Expect to go thru lots of locks. Overall it was a great way to experience the sights and sounds several cities.

Julia, our cruise director was fantastic. She arranged a wheelchair and a classical music concert in Vienna, both of which were exactly what my dad needed! The accommodations were satisfactory, and the food was wonderful. We wished we had longer to tour the cities, but understand the cruise has a schedule!

An excellent moving hotel. The staff was fantastic. The crowd is older but that’s the nature of a river cruise. The beds are very firm. The toilet paper is very rough so bring your own if that’s important to you. The food was delicious. Time in Budapest is limited so if you are not doing the prepared excursions we took a Segway tour which was fantastic and let us see most of the inner city in a short amount of time.

Our stateroom, the food, the ship, the Ukranian crew were all great! We were the only English speaking passengers and knew that the excursions would only be in German and that we would need to make our own way, which we did. However, before the cruise, Tour Radar administrators promised that announcements and events on the ship would be in English as well as German. They were not. We had to ask staff what an announcement said. We were left out of video presentations on the ship. Very disappointing.

We had a lovely vacation on Crucestar. Our CD, Julia, was lovely and very helpful as were the crew. We only went to the lounge on a couple of evenings and the entertainment was really good. We were allocated a dining table with other English speakers which was great as the majority of passengers were German and my language skills are poor. I have a very simple palate and the restaurant could not have accommodated me better, I even put on weight with the 4 course breakfast, lunch & dinners! Our cabin was sufficient with everything needed for a week long vacation. Only comments I would make is that they need bigger towels and I found the bed a little hard. The itinerary was really good. The only difficult mooring was Vienna but the included bus & walking tour took care of any potential concerns. The included tours were really good and we could have availed of a concert in Vienna. Overall, a great week which offered all that we needed and an opportunity to visit some beautiful places at great value for money. Oh, I am in my early 50s and I wasn't the youngest but it wouldn't have mattered as the whole experience was lovely. Well done Crucemondo and keep up the good work. We would be happy to book another if the itinerary was right.
