I cannot say enough how much fun I had with Hasanka with Mango Vacations! Do to world circumstances it was just the 2 of us on the 11 day tour. He was amazing, we had so much, he took me to local places to eat, the food is amazing in Sri Lanka. I have been all over the world, request Hasanka with Mango Vacations, you will have a great time!

Good: Travel program itself, the main sights are covered. You see a lot, but it is relaxed travel without too much program. Most of the hotels were of a good standard (2 exceptions, which were not so clean). Communication in advance, possibility to adapt the trip flexibly. Dissatisfied with: Information and communication, service during the trip. I was sent an itinerary in advance, but some of the days were swapped without any information in advance. This is awkward because you dress differently for temples than for a hike. In addition, I had to keep asking in the evening when the next day would start, I would have liked to have had the information in advance and without having to keep asking. Another travel participant had received a hotel list, but I had not, not even when asked. The program was not followed exactly, I was supposed to go straight to Colombo after arriving at the airport, so I would have had the whole day in the city. However, I was only taken to the hotel in Negombo, I was told that I would be picked up at 2 pm, which turned out to be 3:30 pm, so that I didn't have 2 hours in the city thanks to rush hour. The management during the trip was mixed. The tour was supposed to be fully guided. This was the case for the first three days, when I had a different driver after adjusting my program. When the regular tour started with a new driver, the driver only saw himself as a driver and we were not given any information about the stops. When we pointed out to him that the tour was fully guided, he reacted angrily. We had to make sure that all the sights were covered. I had communicated in advance that the Horton Plains were important to me. If I had not insisted on this during the tour, the national park would not have been visited. The entrance fees quoted were very inaccurate (quoted: 25 dollars, to be paid on site: 40 dollars). It is difficult to rely on information received. I had confirmed 3 days with half board. After the hotel mentioned that breakfast was included, I asked the company owner, he said no, dinner was also included, I didn't have to pay anything. After checking out, he wrote to me that there was a mistake in the booking confirmation, that half board was not included and that I should pay. After I said that I wanted to be able to rely on information and answers to queries, I was given 3 days half board after all. All in all, everything worked out, but it was very stressful, you had to make sure that the itinerary was fulfilled and the service was not what you would expect from fully guided. Some of the hotels were a long way out.

The entrance fees mentioned on the website are indicative, and in your case, you were offered three complimentary dinners as a courtesy, which were not part of your original package.
