Questions & Answers

Here we have collected and answered the most frequently asked questions.

  • What are the English lessons like? What will be covered?

Our English lessons are highly interactive and are focused on having fun. We will be covering four main English language skills of reading, writing, speaking and listening. There will be individual and group work and a wide range of teaching aids; language text books, English press, audio/video, games and so on will be used. The group size is never more than 10, meaning that you will always receive a lot of personal attention. Since you are all on vacation, a particular focus of this course will be on essential English required for traveling and we will be also talking a lot about the places that we visit on this trip so that we are also connecting with the country and the culture we are in. You will be having plenty opportunities to practice your English on the boat thanks to our technique of full immersion, as you will be speaking English with our other international guests and with our crew. So your only homework will be to have fun and enjoy yourself!

  • Will I have plenty of free time?

Yes. Our schedule is arranged in such a way that you will not be missing any essential parts of your trip, swimming, sun tanning, sightseeing or anything.

  • What English skills should I have prior to booking the trip?

Our English lessons are suitable for anyone with intermediate level of English, meaning that you know the basics of the language but you need more practice or you would like to refresh your English.

  • What is the average age of travellers?

Most of our travelers are in the age group 23-35.

  • Are there any age restrictions?

The minimum age for our trips is 21 and there is no upper age limit.

  • What is the sailing yacht like?

Our beautiful 50ft sailing yachts are equipped with state of the art technology offering all travelers onboard a safe and enjoyable experience. Our yachts are sleeping eight to ten passengers in four to five cabins. Each of those cabins will have either two single beds pushed side-by-side or bunk beds. You’ll also have two or three bathrooms on board with a shower and a kitchen/dining area. Most of your time will be spent on the deck, which has a rubber boat for reaching the shore from and plenty of room to lay out and enjoy the sun.

  • Can I share a cabin with my friend/s?

If you booked your trip with a friend and would like to share a cabin with or if you have a group of several people please inform us at the time of booking and we will make the necessary arrangements. We believe single travelers should not have to pay more to travel so we are offering to them to share cabins with other single travelers of the same sex for the duration of the trip. Otherwise you can pay a single supplement and to have a cabin all for yourself.

  • Do we need a visa?

Contact your local embassy or consulate for the latest visa requirements, or see your travel agent. It is your responsibility to have the correct travel documentation and you are fully responsible for your own visa requirements.

  • Do we need travel insurance?

It is compulsory for everyone traveling with us to have travel insurance. Traveling is all about adventure and experiencing the unknown. Unfortunately, this can mean that some things don’t always go to plan from time to time, planes can sometimes be delayed, luggage can go missing and accidents can happen. Your group leader will check your documents at the beginning of the tour to ensure you are correctly covered and you can travel with peace of mind.
It is important your travel insurance covers you for the following:
    Medical expenses
    Missed flights
    Luggage loss and theft
Any additional activities you may want to do during the trip
