The pizza is\u00a0deep dish. The place is <a href=\"\/d\/chicago\">Chicago<\/a>. It\u2019s truly a thing of beauty.<\/p>\n<p>My first stop, was recommended by a friend who had been to Chicago a year prior. So the first thing I did after stepping off that plane (not even kidding) was head straight to Pizano\u2019s for step one of my pizza journey to end <em>all\u00a0<\/em>pizza journeys.<\/p>\n<p>To describe this first bite of deep dish pizza is impossible. It was magical and something I had been waiting a long time for. I mean, you could argue I was biased after trying it but you\u2019ll just have to head to Chicago to see why yourself. Seriously, do it.<\/p>\n<p>The restaurant itself is laid back and the staff are amazing! We were a bit taken aback when our server giggled and said we should order the medium deep dish pepperoni pizza instead of the large. I mean, it was delicious, but it wasn\u2019t my favourite of the ones I tried.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The crust was very different from the others, a bit harder without as much flavour, which is the biggest reason their score was a bit lower. After all, crust can be just as important as the rest of the pie! One thing that always stands out to visitors here is the caramelized crust. I\u2019ll give you a moment to register that. Yes, a caramelized crust. This is done by the chefs spreading a thin layer of cheese outside of the crust before cooking the pizza.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.unos.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><b>Pizzeria Uno<\/b><\/a><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><em>Address: 29 E Ohio St, Chicago, IL 60611<\/em><\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong><i>Rating: 9\/10<\/i><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Another traveller favourite, for a good reason. It\u2019s basically amazing in every way. The best part is, it offers options. You can sit in the restaurant or order in to eat while you Netflix and chill after a long day exploring the city.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bartolispizzeria.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><b>Bartoli\u2019s<\/b><\/a><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><em>Address: 1955 W Addison St, Chicago, IL 60613<\/em><\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong><i>Rating: 8\/10<\/i><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The original deep dish is a must try even if you\u2019ve had 20 slices in a day. No need to add any extra toppings as it\u2019s epic on its own.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">At the end of my deep dish adventure around Chicago, one thing was clear. Chicago does pizza right, and two weeks later I\u2019m still craving it.
