Without a doubt, Italy is stunning all year, but in summer the country has a different energy altogether. <\/span><\/p>\n

  1. June: <\/b>Average temperature in Rome<\/a>: 28\u00b0C <\/span>
    \n<\/span>A peak time for tourists to flock to Italy, don\u2019t be deterred by such a thing as \u2018crowds\u2019 \u2013 there\u2019s plenty of space for all. The more the merrier, right? Join the locals in celebrating the national Italian holiday Festa Della Repubblica at the start of June. <\/span><\/li>\n
  2. July: <\/b>Average temperature in Rome: 31\u00b0C<\/span>
    \n<\/b>It\u2019s creepin\u2019 up slowly, but with the right clothing and pieces in your suitcase, you will have no trouble with the heat.<\/span><\/li>\n

    \n<\/span>Head to the beach and dive into the warm waters, or scramble north and head up the mountains for a brief moment of reprieve from the heat. While you\u2019re there, watch the fireworks on August 15 while you partake in Ferragosto, another one of Italy\u2019s biggest celebrations.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    If you are planning a trip to Italy in the summer, especially on the Amalfi Coast, you should plan on booking at least six to nine months in advance for more accommodation choices. And, if you are planning to visit Tuscany, keep in mind that many agriturismos require a\u00a0Saturday<\/span><\/span>\u00a0to\u00a0Saturday<\/span><\/span>\u00a0stay.<\/p>\n

    We have visited Italy many times, but my favorite place to be in the summer is Capri, an island off the Amalfi Coast. The views are incredible, the food at its freshest, and the streets and shops are dripping with bougainvillea, making it one of the prettiest places on earth.
