We all toy with the idea of booking last minute.<\/a> If you do it far in advance it lets you slowly lay out your itinerary finalize everything and take your time.<\/p>\n

But what\u2019s the fun in that?<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

Travelling last minute has many perks, and I\u2019m not just talking about the deals. As an experienced last minute traveller, I wanted to share with you the reasons why I love doing it. <\/span><\/p>\n

1. You can save big<\/h2>\n

Everyone needs a personal piggy bank<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

We\u2019ll start with the obvious one. When you book last minute, there\u2019s always a possibility that you will get a great discount. Flights are often the toughest to find these\u00a0deals for, but they\u2019re out there. When it comes to accommodation, tours and other travel plans, you can often find them at an awesome discounted rate. <\/span><\/p>\n

2. Last minute doesn\u2019t mean tomorrow – but it can<\/h2>\n

Last minute travel can be any time frame<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Many people think travelling last minute means leaving tomorrow. It can mean this (and it\u2019s awesome) but it can also be considered leaving a month or so\u00a0from when you book. Some companies will even start last minute deals quite far ahead\u00a0of the departure date! You don\u2019t need to pack up and go tomorrow if you don\u2019t want to, but after last-minuting once or twice, it\u2019ll get more and more comfortable…and even cathartic. \u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

3. It\u2019s\u00a0exhilarating<\/h2>\n

What’s more fun than spontaneity?<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

What\u2019s more exciting than being spontaneous and doing something awesome? Nothing really. The adrenaline rush you get from booking something out of the blue and departing ASAP is like no feeling you\u2019ve ever had before. You’ll feel a surge of confidence that will last a lifetime.<\/p>\n

4. You don\u2019t have time to sweat the small stuff<\/h2>\n

You don’t have to be this guy<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

When you book far in advance, you think about the little things. Are you really going to need that extra pair of shoes and that shirt? Do you really need to bring that book? You always end up overpacking. It also causes you to stress about what you need to do when you get there despite those answers not being complicated. These are all stresses that can be avoided when you book last minute. <\/span><\/p>\n

5. It challenges you<\/h2>\n

No matter the challenge, you can always make it through<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

No matter what travel plans you have, a new destination or situation will challenge you in some way. When it comes to last minute travel, you\u2019re challenged in many ways – emotionally, mentally and dare I say, physically (you are running around getting everything together, so it counts). Prepping something so last minute and keeping it under control can be challenging sometimes, but you\u2019ll always get through it and it\u2019ll be completely worth it.<\/p>\n

6. Last minute travel makes it happen<\/h2>\n

A flight tomorrow or next week gives you less chance to back out<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Have you always dreamt of heading to Europe? Latin America? Asia? Last minute travel is the ultimate solution for just getting things done. No back and forth between friends trying to confirm dates or feedback from worried parents. If you notice you\u2019re in need of some vacation time, or you just saw an incredible last minute deal to your dream destination — keeping the spontaneous spirit alive makes you book and realize your travel dreams.<\/span><\/p>\n

7. It\u2019s the best break ever<\/h2>\n

This could be you, or me or anyone, laying down on the beach… next week<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Oftentimes, if you\u2019re looking for a deal you\u2019re in need of a vacation. Feeling the urge to click “book” is your body’s way of telling you that you absolutely need\u00a0<\/em>to get away from it all for a little while.\u00a0Last minute travel lets you jet off when you need it most and come back 100% refreshed.<\/p>\n
