The most popular group of islands are the Cyclades, which form a circle around the island of Delos, the mythological birthplace of Apollo. The Cyclades encompass islands like Mykonos, Santorini, Ios, and Naxos, and is centrally located in the Aegean sea. Another top route is through the rocky Argo-Saronic islands near Athens. They get their name from the Aegean\u2019s Saronic Gulf that they sit in. Hydra\u2019s attractive stone mansions are a huge draw, as are Spetses\u2019 small and charming beaches.
