Cambodia is one of those places with deep history, beautiful beaches, incredible food and culture. It has quickly become popular for travellers of any age, because there’s something there for everyone.
Whether you’re simply planning on heading there to relax, discover the history or the culture, or just to see why travellers across the world have fallen in love with it, you won’t be disappointed.
Here are some of the most incredible places you need to try and see while you’re in Cambodia.
One of the most popular, and well known, sites to see while in Cambodia is Angkor Wat. It’s not only the largest monument, but the most well preserved of the Angkor group. Built in the first half of the 12th century, it is one of the Seven Wonders of the World.
The second largest island in Cambodia is Koh Rong, which has a whopping 43 km of beaches, and some of the most beautiful ones at that. If you’re a fan of the reality series Survivor, season 31 and 32 were both filmed on the island.
As the largest city and capital of Cambodia, it’s no surprise that this is a breathtaking and beautiful city. If you’re a foodie, this needs to be a must-stop location for you. With incredible restaurants and street food at every corner, even the biggest foodies will never get bored.
Ream National Park
Whether you love the outdoors or not, making it down to Ream National Park is an absolute must. With epic treks all over the place and countless beaches it offers each traveller a chance to relax and catch some beautiful views.
