Our guide, Than Zaw, went the extra mile to ensure that everything ran like clockwork. His photographic skills are at a high professional level and he very willingly assisted all who asked for help-this was a big bonus. His knowledge about the country is extensive. Despite being told that the internet is not widely available this is not the case. All of our hotels and many restaurants have free wifi. It is slow. There are now ATM's available not only in the cities. I used my credit card to make a purchase in a shop at Inle Lake. We also were able to change US dollars outside of Yangon at the same rate offered in the airport which is generally recommended. Some merchants will take dollars.

Just got back from an amazing 15 day tour, great guide (Josh) and a great bunch of people. All Josh's recommendations were well thought out. Some of the accommodation wouldn't suit tourists but travellers won't mind - remember, you are in a third world country which has only just opened to the west! We saw so much. Highly recommended.
