Each guide was really bubbly and fun, but also knew when to get serious and get us to where we needed to be. They all had very good English and were very knowledgeable about their specific destinations.
Some of the transport options were less than desirable (such as 10 people squished into the back of a tuk-tuk for an hour); however we were given the option to upgrade to private coach for an extra cost (which was particularly good for some of the longer, windy roads).
I was expected below average accommodation, and for the most part I wasn't surprised. Although such incidents such as bugs in my bed, no working air-con/fan, blood stains on a pillow, some unclean bathrooms, and a constant lack of hot showers - considering the areas we were in, it was to be expected really.
Upon arriving to Cambodia it felt like absolute LUXURY! The accommodation there was worlds apart, although I dodn't feel like I was on an adventure tour anymore :P
Depending on what we ordered, most of the food was great; as far as I know no-one got sick for more than a day, and it was great that the guides knew of such great places somewhat off the beaten track.
Of course value for money was excellent, however, I would suggest bringing more money for shopping and alcohol - I don't feel like I went overboard with anything, but I needed to transfer some more money about two-thirds into the trip.
Overall it was fantastic! I think it largely helped that we had such a great group of people as well though! :)
