Well just arrived back from this trip and it was amazing saw so much in such a short time bus trips were long but you saw so much it idnt matter the tour guie was great it was sa to say goobye same with travelling companions we did canoeing sand dune bugging went amazon in canoe caught pirahnas saw caymains spiders etc staye with local family in their house di traitional ancing with them trekking Macchu Picchu is amazing so is the city like toy town so cute would say to anybody book and go cant wait for my next trip with Geckos

While the last half of this tour was good, we were feeling very disappointed for the first half of our trip. The first half of this tour consisted of repeated early wake ups and long days (7 hours+) spent on buses. Despite the bus company having the policy that the meals could be changed with a couple of days notice, Gecko's were so disorganised that we were repeatedly served meals containing meat that we could not eat. We notified them that we were vegetarian six months prior to the trip departing. The Colca Canyon part of this trip was a complete waste of time and definitely not worth spending 2 days on a bus. We very much enjoyed the Inca Trek and the Amazon was great but unfortunately I cannot recommend this tour due to the dismal start. Our guide was good, but the travel time wrecked it for us.
