I went with my husband who is blind. We are both in our 60s. We had no trouble, taking our gear in backpacks so we could hold hands for moving on and off trains and other tranportation. There are showers available at every station with a stop of 30 minutes or more. The scenery was great. Our tour guide, Olga, in her twenties managed her group of 11 seniors with no problems. She arranged wonderful events at all the overnight stops - Ulaanbator, Irkuts, Lake Bsilkal, Moscow, St Petersburg, Beiging. Dave played music with the locals at the Gers and on trains for other passengers. Highly recommended.

Wonderful journey, extremely well-organised, punctual pick-ups, very good hotels. Ger accommodation brilliant in Karakoram - friendly hosts and fabulous horse riding out on the steppes. Recommended to all, but a little rough on us over 60's. Train journey well worth doing even if you don't stop over en route. - view from the train mind blowing.
