Dear Passions, what a lovely surprise to see you on facebook. I feel like a grandma writing this: I've joined an extremely remarkable trip to the Reef back in 1995 ! 16 (sixteen...) years ago. We had such good weather that the surface of the sea didn't seem to move a bit. I went snorkeling and was so absorbed be what I went to see that your crew had to "whistle me back". Just the other day I showed the pics to my 8 year old Emily and she asked me to go back to Cairns straight away. It was one of the most beautiful days in my entire life! The only thing that seems to have changed is the crew (back than we were young and good looking, too ;-), the colours of the t-shirts (mine is grey with pink writing on it) and the amount of alcohol....
Here's my most precious memory: sitting like a mermaid on the top end of the catamaran, playing a harp, watching the blue blue sea, the pink, yellow and blue fish and just feeling free and at ease. We saw the Bounty that day and had a short stopover at a sandbank where we were served a drink. Brilliant!
Maybe I even fell in love a bit that day. The boy was part of your crew, back than he had long brown and curly hair, his name starting with J.(privacy;-). He expected his girlfriend from Switzerland to arrive that day, and told me he felt so special about me that he would have loved to ask me out if he had not only just got her back to stay with him. I took it as a compliment and now and then I'm still thinking of him and your ship as parts of a perfect day out at the reef. In case you know who I am talking about send him a big hug from Germany. I can only recommend your day tours. They're a life-time experience. Antje
This trip was totally awesome. Oh my god I had so much fun and it was like the best time ever. Imagine not scuba diving at the great barrier reef. Can't even imagine. The clown fish were so cute that I wanted to pick them up, put them in my pocket and take them home. What a great time!!! wow i cant believe i just said that. Can you imagine if the boat sunk!!! I know it would like totally make everyone drown n stuff. thank god we have like life vests and stuff. Oh and Can you imagine if the reef like sank underground or something. We would totally have nothing to see. Ok question.. is this not the best review you have ever read
as if the reef itself did not make every note worth the experience, the crew were there to make the day easily one of the best in my life. I have been on boating tours before but the instructional guides and easy to follow rules made the dive and snorkaling the best I have seen or heard of. The meal was hearty and delicious, especially for being prepared under us durring the sail out to the location. The under water camera available for hire was a priceless amenity that allowed me to remember the day and dive for the rest of my life. I highly recommend the Passions of Paradise tour to all other visiting students and patrons of the Carins area, the hardest part was getting back off the boat.
My family had a very fun and eventful day. My son daniel saw a shark, which he was extremely happy about. The sailing conditions were fantastic, which unfortunately made the snorkelling conditions a bit extreme. Though regardless of the bumpy conditions, my family had a fantastic day. The crew made it fun and adventurous, especially the skipper tony. What a great bloke!!!
Well, as a regular on Passions of Paradise full day great barrier reef tours I think its great to get a chance to offer some feedback!
I am lucky enough to get to come out twice a month with my tour group and i must say i have never had a bad day out!
Today was particulary good, due to great weather and a great team of staff.
Generally though your staff are a stand out in comparision to other day tours and comapanies we use throughout our tour.
Very professional, helpfull and always energetic and full of enthusiasm.
I relate this to all staff, however a special mention to Rhianna, Sandra, Craig, Simon, Emma. I really should name them all!
Also your equipment is a stand out, esp compared to the snorkeling we do on the whitsundays.
I also love being able to visit both michelmans and passions reef without 1000's of others and several boats.
A big thank you to all and when i am normal with a boyfriend i will bring him out for the day!
The staff on the boat was informative, helpful and fun. They were not pushy towards making you try things, example diving, they simply wanted you to enjoy the trip. This was the best way I can think of to spend my Saturday... if I had more time and money, I do the trip again.
Like nothing one has ever experienced... absolutely mind blowing!! The lot, crew, views, natural beauty is top notch, amazing stuff. And photos, magazines do it no justice... you have to be here to believe this place... no words can live up to describe what the Passions crew showed us. Would never pick anybody else. Thankyou Passions!!
