Macbackpackers Reviews
I really enjoyed my Tour and Thank you guide Neil (I hope it's correct ! )
He told us lots of stories and legends ... histories , even I couldn't understand everything .. Because I am a student who is learning English ..
He is so funny and kind !!
I love it !
Although ... the weather was only two days good ... but the view is unique and spectacular !!
We absolutely LOVED our trip with MacBackpackers!! The Isle of Skye was far and away the highlight of our trip to the UK. The scenery was beautiful, the people warm and welcoming, and the food was amazing. Richard was an amazing guide! He was very knowledgeable, funny, a great driver (I definitely would not want to drive on the roads on Skye), and a genuinely great guy. Our group hit up all of the "must see" locations and a few quick stops that we had requested. Even the hostel that we stayed at in Kyleakin was adorable. Thank you to MacBackpackers for giving us memories that will last a lifetime!
This was a great tour where i really learned a lot about scotland on. The tour guide was amazing and funny and told lots of great stories. He also taught me a lot about my ancestors!! overall great trip and i am telling everyone i know to do a mac backpackers tour!
I had a great time in this tour with our guider Richard. He left me a deep impression on both Scotland people and history,we all appreciate his work!Thank him!Thank the good weather and scenery we experienced!Hope I can join your tours next time
It was my second tour with MacBackpackers (I did the 3-day-Isle of Skye-tour June 2012 with a guide called Ruthie) and if possible I would even give 6* for everything.
I enjoyed it so much again!
This time our guide was called Neil.
We had so much fun and he told us about everything (We were and I am still wondering how one person could remember all this stuff about history, myth and so much more! It was great to listen).
And not to forget the nice Céilidh evening!
I am still missing Scotland again and I already decided month ago, that I will live there for a while in future, when I finished my apprentinceship.
And if I do another tour around Scotland - well.. I definitely will! - It will absolutely be MacBackpackers again! :)
I just came back from my weekender tour around the Highlands and I'm so glad to have done it as a first taste of Scotland. Everything was absolutely wonderful and there's so much nature around. Our guide Richard was hilarious and made us laugh so much, even if we semt to be a little shy. He told us amazing stories and I finally know the truth about Braveheart aka William Wallace ("Mel Gibson just can't play William Wallace... I mean he's australian and short!").
I'm already planning to come back very soon to see a little more, and I would definetely choose MacBackpackers as we got the chance to see so many beautiful hidden things in such a short time which I'm sure would have been impossible without the help of local, laid back guys as they are.
Thanks very much for letting me discover such a great country.
I loved it!!! such a beautiful way to see a country in the eyes of a local
Group was nice and small we had a bit of flexibility and really embraced the beauty of the Scottish Highlands
