You're motivated and got amazing skills?
What are you waiting for?
We're looking for:
You have experience as a travel agent and are tired of traditional travel agencies? Then think outside the box just like TourRadar does.
What is TourRadar?
TourRadar is the No.1 place to compare and book group tours online. TourRadar is transitioning to being an online Travel Agent who handles bookings for selected operators all over the world. We are looking for an experienced person to join our multinational team (11 people, 6 nations!) who likes working in a fast-paced environment, enjoys challenging work, relishes working independently and most importantly loves to travel!
Challenges and opportunities of the job?
You must be able to work independently and enjoy working in a team atmosphere. You will have the chance to bring forth all your experiences as a travel agent and help shape TourRadar as a travel agency, in particular our customer service team. We encourage all our team to bring an open mind, ideas and look forward to be able to communicate your thoughts with the entire team. The work will be challenging because the industry we work in, is continuously evolving and we are pioneering many new things. Finally the workplace is friendly, where we share a common workspace and there are few formalities i.e no suits, no ties but rather jeans, t-shirts and even flip flops in summer.
What can you expect?
You will be responsible for speaking to customers via telephone, instant messenger or email (no cold calling!) who have either found a specific tour on TourRadar.com or are undecided between a number of options and you will be tasked with making sure the customer’s questions are answered promptly, honestly and accurately so that they are happy to book with us. When you can’t find the answers you will need to think fast and be resourceful to find the customer’s answers. Naturally you will also have to deal with unhappy customers, as well as handle booking cancellations, changes, etc. Knowledge of tour operator booking systems is also advantageous.
We are offering a full time position, with a salary to be negotiated during your interview, which will be based on your experience. Other benefits include team building activities, free laughs and finally being able to join a team of international enthusiastic people who love doing what they do ;-) (take care it is contagious!).
Requirements:
- At least 1 year (preferably 2-3 years) full time position experience in a traditional travel agency where you have been actively selling travel in person, over the phone and/or via email
- Experience in selling multi-day tours (specific product knowledge of operators like G Adventures, Intrepid, etc is beneficial)
- Open minded thinking
- Love challenges
- Enthusiastic to learn
- You want to work in THE place to be in the Start-Up Scene in Austria?
- Interested in travelling
- Doesn’t know the meaning of “I can’t find the answer”
Compensation:
- Your salary is based on your experience and skill
- Work in an international environment
- Learn from the co-founders what it’s like to create something new
- Be part of a great team of likeminded people
- Be part of a real Start Up changing the group tour industry
