16th June 2012: Absolutely amazing experience. 3 guides - 1 for each country. As for transportation, there are a few overnight 10 hour bus journeys, each with different levels of comfort. But if you put them down to part of the travelling experience, then its not so bad. And a 16 hour overnight train! Interesting seeing the changes from Peru, Bolivia, through to brazil. From the people, the economies, food etc. South America really got under my skin, more so than any other country I’ve visited. Oh, the Inca trail. Hard work, but absolutely worth it! If you are thinking about whether to go or not -do it! You will not be disappointed!
