Working windmills, candlelight canal cruises, tulips and tall people... it’s all in the Netherlands! Touring through this country by bike is easy as a lot of the terrain is flat and (unbelievably) below sea level. Medieval cities and straw roofed farmhouses abound the countryside. A must-see in Amsterdam is the Van Gogh Museum, and a trip to the cheese markets in Edam is another.
"I would definitely recommend this trip, especially to someone like me who'd never been to Europe and wanted to "see it all". It's a good overview of several countries and makes you want to go back for more. Be aware that "2 days per city" isn't exactly accurate; more like 2 nights per city (but one)..."
