We had a great time! Everything went off without a hitch, well, minus the flat tire and snow storm ?. And we couldn’t have asked for a better tour guide, Rose, and driver, Dasha. They made the trip that much better and more memorable. I’d also like to give my appreciation to Wendy, our TourRadar representative, she was great to work with and extremely responsive. We will definitely be using TourRadar again because of her.

- Summer 2026
Summer's long days open up Mongolia for deeper exploration on our 8-14 day tours. You'll get hands-on with nomad life - maybe helping milk yaks at sunrise, walking to tucked-away temples by afternoon and watching the light change on Bayanzag's red cliffs come evening. Our travelers really get into the outdoor living - riding horses across the steppes, hiking to Orkhon Valley waterfalls and learning traditional archery at the ger camps. These summer routes balance active days with cultural immersion - you'll sleep near wild horse herds, cook using local methods and spend nights under some of the clearest starry skies you'll ever see.

- Fall / Autumn 2026
Autumn makes Mongolia's landscapes turn golden, and our 5-7 day September and October tours make the most of it. Our travelers especially like watching Terelj National Park's birch forests change to bright yellow. The clear, cool weather is perfect for hiking through Gobi canyons and exploring old monastery ruins. Nights get chilly, but our guests say that makes the ger camps even more welcoming - you'll share meals with nomad families and might catch the final festivals before winter arrives. Tourist numbers drop off but the local welcome stays warm, which makes autumn really good for anyone wanting closer connections with Mongolian culture.

- Winter 2026 / 2027
Mongolia in winter offers an entirely different side of the country through 5-12 day tours. Our travelers tell us there's something really special about watching Przewalski's horses move through the white landscapes of Khustai, their breath visible in the cold air. The Gobi takes on a new character - you'll walk through snow-covered dunes and spot gazelles searching for food in the valleys. We focus on genuine experiences like learning to build ger fires the traditional way, sharing fermented mare's milk with local families and watching eagle hunters work with their birds. Yes, it gets seriously cold below zero, but you'll practically have places like Erdene Zuu Monastery to yourself.

- Spring 2027
Spring brings new life to Mongolia's steppes, and our April tours showcase baby animals everywhere you look. The foals in Hustai National Park are a highlight, running alongside their mothers, while the Gobi warms up enough for proper hiking through Yol Valley where ice still holds onto the canyon walls. Our 5-7 day routes mix countryside time with culture - you'll start at Gandan Monastery in Ulaanbaatar before heading to ger camps where families are busy with spring work like mare milking and making traditional dairy products. The weather keeps you guessing, but our guests say that's what makes it interesting - you might need your winter coat one day and be picking wildflowers the next.
