We are looking for a strong Junior Business Development Manager. Challenges and opportunities of the job?
This position is responsible for growing tour operator and partnership sales with key accounts across Asia-Pacific. The BDM will use creativity and business acumen to build partnerships that drive sales. As TourRadar’s ambassador you will create new opportunities, help drive sales while supporting training and servicing of key accounts. You will be responsible for partner onboarding all the way through to regular account management. You will also drive online integrations that will continue to expand reach and volume of sales. Comfort in technology including the rudimentary understanding of XML feeds to fully bookable APIs is a must.
You must be able to work independently and enjoy working in a team atmosphere. Self-motivation is an asset. You will have the chance to bring forth all your experiences as a travel professional to shape TourRadar as a travel company, in particular our Business Development team. The work will be challenging because the industry we work in is continuously evolving and we are pioneering many new things. What can you expect?
As a Junior BDM you will be a pioneer in this industry and will be required to target and prioritize key contacts/accounts. Your focus will be multi-faceted; onboarding and managing operators, undertaking and optimising Business Development workflow processes as well as building revenue sharing partnerships. As opportunities evolve so will you and there are very few limits as long as we strive towards core business objectives. Customer service is key as we connect new partners, on-board new operators and build mutually beneficial relationships.

3 years experience minimum in sales, marketing, or business development, ideally in a travel industry role
Bachelor's degree from accredited college or university
Knowledge of the Asia-Pacific travel market with established key contacts
Personal and/or professional travel experience to areas in which TourRadar sells
Experience negotiating contracts and developing relationships
Comfort working for a tech-forward company including the regular useage of tracking, monitoring, project and CRM software
Willingness to travel out of office up to 20% of working time
Australian or on-going working visa (without restrictions)
Driver’s license in good standing
