Highlights of the trip: - Swimming in amazing turquoise water in secluded coves. - Jumping from the very top deck of the boat. - Having a bombing competition between the boys. - Fabulous seafood in most ports. Favourite activities: - Doing bugger all on the boat!! - Cycling around the islands. - Jumping of the boat - as above! Packing tips: - Take plenty of suncreen. - A hat is definitely required. - Take at least two pairs of bathers. - Don't take a towel for personal use - the boat provides these. Group: - Predominantly antipodean in mid 20's. Why should others do it? - To enjoy some of the most stunning coastline in Europe. - To escape the cold of England with some lovely bright sunshine!

An absolutely amazing week of fun, sun, sea, relaxation, stunning destinations, terrific crew and great travel companions! All of the islands visited are fantastic. Swimming in the clear waters of the Adriatic, white water rafting at Omis and walking along the city walls in Dubrovnik would have to be the highlights. A trip I would highly recommend! Pack lightly as there is very little space in the cabins (especially the below deck ones). Wait until late June onwards when the waters have warmed up for the daily swims.

Sail Croatia Adventures Traditional Route 1, 27th June 2008

We booked onto the Navigator Cruise - Exclusive Route on Sail Croatia, had about 10 friends on a boat that slept 25 or so. The other people on the boat were strangely enough all Australian. Now to call it "sail" Croatia is a bit of a misleading term - as it was very much "boating" Croatia, a token piece of material strung up and the motors turned off on the final day in an attempt to give you the authentic sailing experience. But still, it is no distraction from the fact that it is a very good holiday to do. Each morning you set "sail" for a cove to swim at, then a bite to eat for lunch served up on the boat, a few cheap beers in the arvo as you "sail" to the next port. Dock at 4/5pm and spend the arvo looking around. Eat out, then a night out, back on the boat in the early hours to sleep. Some of the highlights: Walking through the tiny streets in Split. Taking time out to wander the markets. Dubrovnik - awesome city. Would have liked to spend more time there. Huge wall around the old city which you could spend hours wandering. Find the two bars which are under the wall facing the coast so you can sit and drink while looking out over the sea. Mljet - cool little island which again could have been the place to spend a few days. There are heaps of places here to hire pushies or scooters, but i recommend getting a pushy as they let you go closer to the two national park lakes. Hvar - plenty of places to have a drink - walk around the coast and come across a little cocktail bar which has areas where you can sit in the ocean while you drink. £1.50 pints on the boat, interspersed with plenty of waddling in the Adriatic. There was an option to go rafting on the first day but we didn't do it. From the definition it sounded more like flat rafting, not white water. From those who did go, we were told there were slight rapids, so probably not a bad thing to do.

This was such a relaxing holiday with a great bunch of people. We did the 7 day route from Split to Dubrovnil and back. There was about 30 people on the boat, and about 15 were older/families. The other 15 or so were like minded Aussies and Kiwis who were all great fun. We spent most days relaxing on the top deck getting some sun. We stopped between ports for a swim in the beautiful crystal clear (although a little chilly) water. Some of the best ports were Korcula, Dubrovnik and Hvar - beautiful towns with heaps of history. On board the boat everything was perfect, the food was pretty good, the beer was cheap and the cabins were fine (go for the above deck category A if you can). Highly recommended for anyone travelling Europe!

This trip was just what we needed after weeks of backpacking around Europe! One week of sun, swimming, sleeping, eating and drinking. Our days consisted of breakfast at 8, going up deck about half 8-9, setting up your position for the day, reading, catching up on sleep and then swim time. We would then dock into a different island each evening, and it would be time to get off the boat, explore, grab something to eat and then have a taste of the night life. After having weeks of catching trains it was great to wake up and know that you were already on your way to the next destination. Definately a great way to see Croatia. Things to pack are your bikini and a lilo!

A very relaxing break. Great food prepared by the crew and great food available for dinner on the islands. You get to see many great places in a short time, although many of these places do deserve a lot more time to explore. Definitely worth doing before the price goes through the roof along with the growing popularity.

FAVOURITE ISLANDS VISITED: Hvar - great night life so thats why it gets it reputation of being the "party" island Dubrovnik - most amazing old town walls & fantastic secluded beaches Makarskar - small island but very quaint HIGHLIGHTS: * Sailing the most beautiful waters * Swimming in the Adriatic which is so clear * Relaxing on the deck of the boat * Partying on the islands * Family run boat * Eating the most freshest seafood GROUP: We had 24 people on our boat & that was just the right size. The ages on the boat were mainly people in there middle to late 20's which was great! I consider this to be one of my best holiday's to date & would highly recomend this to anyone.

This was a great tour. We stopped each day for a swim and docked each night in a different harbour. It was also a reasonably inexpensive holiday considering that most of the food (breakfast and lunch) and accomodation was included. The stops were great - Hvar tour was something else I felt like I was in a James Bond movie and Mljet National Park was beautiful. However there were a few things that weren't great about this tour - the food was very average but apparently the usual chef was away. Also the tour had been overbooked which meant there were people sleeping on the deck or on the floor. Also if you have had your fill of large group tours this may not be your thing (over 30 Aussie, kiwi and Saffas on my tour). The accomodation is basic on this boat as were all the other facilities and there is very little shade on deck. Having said this, the bathrooms were cleaned very frequently. Also be aware that this tour does not include guiding, it is sailing, accomodation and food only. Despite all the above I had a fab time and I would highly recommend Croatia and I had an overall good experience with Sail Croatia.
