Detailed Itinerary:
Your adventure begins with a scenic journey from Vienna, until we reach the historical town of Krems. After collecting our bikes and a short intro, our cycling adventure begins. We bike from Krems passing by small villages and vineyards until we reach a local winery for our first wine tasting of the day. We`ll sample a selection of wines typical to the region, and your guide will be on hand to explain each wine you will taste. Next stop will be Dürnstein (Once Richard the Lion Hearts prison, back in 1192), for Lunch, free time and a chance to sample chocolate, jams and other local goodies produced in the region. We then bike along the banks of the Danube, offering great views of the region until we reach the tiny town, Weissenkirchen. We then take a short ferry ride across the river Danube to the town of St Lorenz for our next wine tasting. Our next stretch will pass by fruit orchards, Vineyards and lush green forest, before we break for free time at the river for a swim, volleyball or just simply relax. From Rossatz, it’s a leisurely ride back to Krems where the day will end with a final wine tasting before departing for Vienna.
