Detailed Itinerary:
Day 1 London to Paris, France (option also to join in Paris)
Across the English Channel en route to Paris. Tonight a city lights tour. (D)
Day 2 Paris
Explore the sights of this stunning city. Perhaps a bicycle tour before our delicious Paris Gourmet Picnic beside the Eiffel Tower. Tonight an optional cruise on the Seine River or a cabaret show. (B,D)
Day 3 Paris to Swiss Alps, Switzerland
To Lauterbrunnen, a gem of a village amidst the Swiss Alps and at the foot of the Jungfrau Mountain. (B,L,D)
Day 4 Swiss Alps
An optional adventure to the summit of the Jungfrau gives amazing views. (B,L,D)
Day 5 Swiss Alps to Avignon, France
Through the wine region of the Rhone Valley to the walled city of Avignon. (B,L)
Day 6 Avignon to Barcelona, Spain
First stop a visit to the famous Roman aqueduct Pont du Gard before arriving in Barcelona, Spain’s most cosmopolitan city. Our afternoon city tour shows us the sights. (B,D)
Day 7 Barcelona
Our centrally located accommodation is a great base to explore Barcelona. (B)
Day 8 Barcelona to the French Riviera, France
To the home of the rich and famous with a visit to a local perfumery en route. (B,D)
Day 9 French Riviera
Time for some celebrity spotting, or a swim in the Mediterranean before trying our luck at a Monte Carlo casino in Monaco. (B)
Day 10 French Riviera to Florence, Italy
First stop is the famous Leaning Tower of Pisa. Tonight, our first taste of delicious Tuscan cuisine. (B,D)
Day 11 Florence
With its artistic treasures it is known as an outdoor museum. After our guided tour with a local guide enjoy the sights – and the shopping is brilliant! (B)
Day 12 Florence to Rome
First stop is the interesting hilltop city Orvieto. Then to Rome and a fascinating walking tour. (B)
Day 13 Rome
The sights of Rome are ours to explore today (B,D).
Day 14 Rome to Venice
A morning visit to the Vatican City and the chance to see the amazing Sistine Chapel. Then it’s on to Venice. (B,L,D).
Day 15 Venice
A walking tour takes in all the major sights including St Mark’s Square and the Rialto Bridge. Our vaporetto ride on the Grand Canal is fascinating and an optional gondola ride is a must. (B,D)
Day 16 Venice to Pag Island, Croatia via Slovenia
First stop is Slovenia, where we visit the Postojna Caves, Europe’s largest cave system. Then to the island of Pag. (B,L,D)
Days 17-18 Pag Island
Two days to relax. The swimming is great, the BBQ lamb and seafood are delicious and the night life is awesome. (B,D) (B)
Day 19 Pag Island to Ljubljana, Slovenia
An eclectic mix of ancient and new makes for one of our most popular stops. (B,L)
Day 20 Ljubljana to Tyrol, Austria
Lake Bled is a spectacular stop on our way to the picturesque Tyrol region. (B,D)
Day 21 Tyrol
Activities abound here including tandem skydiving, paragliding, and mountain bike riding. (B,L)
Day 22 Tyrol to Prague, Czech Republic
Time to reflect as we visit Mauthausen, the former concentration camp. Then to Prague where we get acquainted with the sights on our walking tour. (B,L,D)
Day 23 Prague
A free day to explore one of Europe’s most popular cities.(B)
Day 24 Prague to Berlin, Germany
The 800 year old city of Dresden is our first stop today before continuing on to Berlin, the vibrant capital of Germany. (B,D)
Day 25 Berlin
The Berlin Wall and Checkpoint Charlie Museum are just some of the sights we see today. And the night life is brilliant too! (B)
Day 26 Berlin to Amsterdam, Netherlands
On to Amsterdam, famous for its canals, bicycles and liberal lifestyle. Tonight a visit to the red light district. (B,L)
Day 27 Amsterdam
A bicycle tour is a great introduction to Amsterdam which is followed by a walking tour. Tonight a farewell dinner followed by an optional canal cruise. (B,D)
Day 28 Amsterdam to London
Belgium is particularly famous for its array of beers and fine chocolates. Both can be sampled at our next stop, the city of Brugge. Then it’s back to London for farewells. (B)
