Who would have thought Egypt is also renowned for its mountains and canyons? Take this tour and expect just that. Experience trekking though parts of Egypt you never imagined.
Detailed Itinerary:
Day 1 (Cairo - Sinai)
Upon your arrival at Cairo International Airport, you will continue through customs and immigration and will meet our representative who will introduce you to your guide. You will then drive from Cairo to the Sinai via the Suez Canal tunnel. You continue driving along the west coast of the Sinai Peninsula to Abu Zenima through Wadi Matallah to Serabit El Khadem, a Bedouin village.(L,D)
Day 2 (Mount Serabit - St. Catherine )
The day starts off early with breakfast followed by a hike up Mount Serabit, which is 550 meters above sea level. There you will visit the temple of Hathor and the turquoise mines. Take a drive to Eltieh Plateau on route and visit the Tomb of Sheikh Obus and the Forest of Pillars. During this time, lunch will be served. You continue to St. Catherine where you will overnight in an organized camp. (B,L,D)
Day 3 (St. Catherine - Wadi Ghazala )
Do not miss out on breakfast before your early morning hike up Moses Mountain (2,285 meters). Once you descend, you will visit the Monastery of St. Catherine. From there you will drive east about 180 kilometers to Wadi Ghazala and overnight in the Hurda Oasis. Lunch and dinner are included in the activities.(B,L,D)
Day 4 (Wadi Hurda - Wadi Nakhil – Nuweiba - Dahab )
You start your day with breakfast and then drive through Wadi Hurda and Wadi Nakhil for a magnificent hike of the canyon. You then continue to Nuweiba beach to have a chance for a swim and snorkeling and have lunch. You will drive south to Dahab, the city of gold, where you will overnight at the hotel.(B,L)
Day 5 (Dahab - Wadi El Keed )
Get ready to explore the area of Dahab after breakfast. You will have some free time at the El Asla Village and drive south to Wadi El Keed, where you will visit the area of Nabqe to see where the mangroves grow. You will overnight at the coast. Lunch and dinner are included during the activities.(B,L,D)
Day 6 (Ras Mohammed - Cairo)
Once you have had breakfast, you will drive to the National Aquatic Park of Ras Moahmmed for a magnificent snorkeling tour between the famous coral reefs. After lunch you continue to Cairo and will arrive in the evening where you will book into your hotel for the night.(B,L)
Day 7 (Cairo)
Enjoy breakfast before your start of a full day sightseeing in Cairo visiting the Pyramids of Giza, the Sphinx and the Egyptian Museum. (B)
Day 8 (Cairo)
After breakfast and at the proper time, our representative will accompany you to the Cairo International Airport to fly to your final destination.(B)
